A special community screening: The People’s Emergency Briefing, 21 April 2026, 6pm-8:30pm, Beveridge Hall, Senate House

Join us for a special community screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:

🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living
🪪 National security
💷 Economics
🌳 Nature

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing (NEB) in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris PackhamDeborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

After the film there will be a panel discussion chaired by Professor Damien Short, Professor of Human Rights and Environmental Justice. The panel (including expert speakers from the NEB event at Westminster) will discuss what it means for our community and what we can do locally.

Seats are free but limited so please book in advance.

Bring a friend, neighbour or family member: everyone is welcome.

The screening is presented in partnership between the Institute of Commonwealth StudiesUniversity of London's Sustainability Team and National Emergency Briefing.
